Hiking in Arthur's Pass

Today, we got out of the city and took a drive to Arthur's Pass (about 2 hours west of Christchurch). We hiked for about 4 hours on several trails in the area.  The weather was perfect - party cloudy and warm with a nice breeze.

Look closely and you can see me standing on one of the boulders in the center of the photo

Now that's a nice boulder

I bet no one else has done this before.

PB&J with Chardonnay (straight from the bottle)...classy.

There was no way we're crossing that! So, it became our turnaround point.
